As mentioned in my previous two posts, May was exciting!!  I loved it!!  The last couple of weeks I have enjoyed editing and smiling as I sifted through those photos and events.  I went to Fort Collins to shoot a wedding and the brother of the bride, Jon, asked if I could squeeze in a family photo for his bride (Krista) and her family.  I was totally game!!  Krista and Jon are getting ready to welcome their first child in July and are such an adorable couple.  Their family is wonderful too!  Before the wedding rehearsal dinner, we all made a quick dash to a local park in hopes of capturing something special.  A LaCrosse practice was going on behind us and the sun was beginning to set.  Sports and beauty!!  A great combination!  Here is a glimpse of some of the fun!  Enjoy!

A dreamy action added to the photos below...a hint of vintage.  :)

I had to include this last one!  Multiple prop uses this weekend=Awesomeness!!

Thank you Jon & Krista!  I can't wait to see your new baby and wish you both a very happy and safe delivery/transition!  Big hugs!!

Take two!!

This title of this blog is totally fitting as I will totally take on these two adorable babies ANY day!!  As mentioned in my previous post, May was an exciting month!  In between shooting a wedding and some family portraits, Sonya and Justin asked me to take 12 month pictures of their super cute girls.  I jumped at the opportunity!!  I could not wait to take pictures, but mainly, I could not wait to see this family again!!!  This weekend felt like I hit the jackpot with family and friends!!

This family made the drive from Denver to Ft. Collins for the shoot.  We were blessed with an overcast day and empty park setting!  These girls had free reign to crawl and "almost" walk wherever they pleased...it was great!  Annika and Kiara are thriving and full of life!  Just like their parents!!  :)  After a some costume changes and prop play, I was able to grab a few shots of what daily life is like with twin girls!  Let me just say that Sonya and Justin are doing a great job as the girls personalities develop those legs are starting to go faster!!

Here's a peek at some of my favorites...

Thank you Justin and Sonya for everything!!  I know it was a hectic day for us all especially with wedding activity, but I really appreciate the time I got to spend with you!  Your girls are getting cuter by the minute, you look amazing, and I can't wait until I get to see you all again!  Hopefully soon!!  Love you!!!

A wedding story...

Hello!!  May was an incredible month!!  Business allowed me to travel to Colorado and witness something so special...the marriage of Monique and Michael!!  First, thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding.  It was such an honor.

With every wedding, there is a story.  So, let's get to it.  This one is amazing.  Monique contacted me a few months ago to request photography for Michael and her on their special day.  I gladly accepted the July date.  A few weeks later, a health scare with Monique's father, Larry, created a change in plans and the wedding date was moved to May.  There was much emotion involved with this day, not to mention the weather forecast was calling for a downpour of rain ALL day.  Needless to say, the night before the actual event had many friends and relatives praying for good health and weather.  The wedding was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and God is just big enough that at 12 noon, the clouds lifted!!!  And, Monique's dad was feeling well enough to walk his beautiful daughter down the isle and give her away to amazing Michael!!  I must say, he looked rather dapper in his tuxedo too-not to mention his wife, Vera, was so incredibly beautiful!!  There was not a dry eye in the house...including the photographer.  Sometimes, we all have to take a moment and reflect.  It is days like these that we can only say thank you and stop in awe as God's timing is absolutely perfect!!!

Michael and Monique are such a beautiful couple and it was awesome to see how deeply they care and love each other.  The ceremony was an intimate and powerful celebration!  Monique was gorgeous in her gown accented with fun accessories and Michael was looking especially handsome in his western attire.  The wedding took place at a community clubhouse sprinkled with waterfall and rustic foliage.  It made for complimentary photos for the bride and groom.

The day turned out lovely.  I can't express how grateful I am to know this family and witnessing such a special milestone in their life.  I love this job and I love this family!!!   I will continue to pray for Larry as he is one of the strongest individuals I have ever met (and Vera).  What an inspiration and deep breath of life.  Michael and Monique, I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and I wish you both a lifetime of blessings!   Thank you so much for asking me to be a shutterbug!!  I hope you enjoy reliving your moments.  Now, for a peek!!

For those of you who know me, I love black, white, and red.  Monique chose black and white polka dot dresses for the bridesmaids accented with red flowers!  Way to mix things up a bit!!  I loved it!!!
